I got this almost 3 years ago.

Black and white ink only. Any red you see is blood.

I hate stupid tatoos (The hulk comes to mind) but I can respect something small and meaningful, even though I would never get one.

we do have one or two of these threads floating around. You can find my ink in those.

A guy I know, Eddy has a bunch of really cool tattoo's, he has like some X-men ones, Invader Zim, and I dunno, others, but they're really cool.

I was actually asked about getting a tattoo yesterday. I dunno if I would want to get one or not, if I did, I don't currently know what to get.

Here is my tattoo that I got done about a year ago after the suggestions made on the penguin magic forums. I'm very happy with it.

I love tattoo's however I could never get one for three reasons (religion, zero pain tolerance, and family). I have come up with a solution though. Since I am artistically inclined, I have purchased a henna tattoo kit. I'll come up with a design, draw it on, and every week touch it up. That way I have a tattoo that will always be there until I don't want it =]

Yes I know those die hard tat fans will prob not like this method but for my particular situation it gets the job done lol

Aren't you in college though?

Just curious which religion you are.

Haha yes I am... the thing is my dad is a doctor and my mom is an expert in natural medicines. Tattoos aren't really healthy so they would kill me.

I'm Jewish, its against the Jewish religion to mar your body (if you do you can't be buried in a Jewish Commentary). This is another reason why my family wouldn't let me haha

Good news! I consulted a Rabbi before receiving my tattoo and he informed me that it is simply a myth that you can't be buried in a Jewish cemetery if you get a tattoo. While the Jewish religion does not advocate getting tattoos, you would be hard pressed to find a rabbi who would deny burial because of it. That is dishonoring the deceased which is against the Torah.

I wouldn't say tattoos are unhealthy though. Anyways, family and religion are good reasons not to.

I'm Christian and lucky for me, there isn't anything in the good old Bible that forbids it. When I got mine, I was doing my Science undergrad degree and was still living with my mom. One day I just came home with it. She didn't believe it was real and starting poking it. My mom has a couple small ones so she didn't really care.

I am most likely going to be getting one around the time of my birthday (july 9th)... and if you guys were wondering I am going to get "In Loving Memory Of...... HIP HOP" The "in loving memory of" will be on the top of my right arm wraping around it half way and it will be in a cursive-like font. The "HIP HOP" is going to be in a large bold font wrapping around the other half of my arm.

IDK if you guys can picture it I guess its kindof hard to explain.

Streetwolf, you are right, there is no Talmudic injunctions against it. However, several Rabbis have issued Rabbinic statements recently. Because during the war they tattooed our numbers on our arms they say that to get tattoos makes light of our past.

I want a tattoo of my face, on my face, the same size as my face, but a little to the left. JK JK, that's some one else's joke. I actually don't want any, I don't know why. I like them on other people though.
