So this weekend I am in Long Island for a gig. Well today we went into the city and I was doing some magic on the train. When the conductor came around to collect my ticket, I used Loops and floated it into her hand. She completely flipped out! Then after doing some card effects for my Aunt, I was practicing using Loops when a little boy sat down next to me. I proceeded to do about 30 min worth of material using my Loops, a deck of cards set up for Pip Streak and a coin. At the end of the trip he asked me to sign a business card for him! It was adorable =] He and his mom (who was equally enthralled with my magic) asked if I did birthday parties and I had to let them know that I live in FL and was only up for the weekend. After we hit the city I was able to go to Fantasma (only for about 10 minutes though because my Aunt, Uncle, and Cousin were getting impatient. That kinda sucked because This is only the third brick and mortar shop I've been to since I don't have one near me) I was really bummed because we had to leave early and Simon Lovell (who is one of my FAVORITE magicians) was about to show up =[ I did purchase a new deck of Karnival Assassins and Twilight Angels while I was there and I hope to go back (or go to Tannens) in Dec. My gig is tomorrow so I hope to have video from that this week =]

Ticket? Were you on the LIRR? Anyway, you seem to have done a lot of impromptu magic on one train ride. Can't wait for the footage!

sounds fun! i performed for this kid at my church a couple times, and i thought his mom might ask me to do a birthday party since he likes it so much, but nope. haha, and you got asked in a city that was brand-spankin new to you!
