It's a totally normal pen! Use it all day to write with, no problemo. If the ink runs out, replace with a normal Bic pen ink tip from another cheapo pen. You can also perform your Recapped routine, then finish with this for a huge kicker.

I've read a debate but after seeing Greg's lecture and someone purchasing, Pointless could also be used as a Pen Thu Dollar effect. ...Just not performed as up close but definitely do-able.
