Hi all,

I have been playing around with different closing tricks/effects for my evolving kids show.

What do some of you feel works well as a closing trick to a kids show (ages 5-10 or so)?

Thanks,
Ari

I use an Axtell Magic Drawing Board. It's a wonderful prop.

Well...I try to avoid kids shows but it seems as if I usually get stuck doing them more often than other stuff. I use the hand chopper and it seems to get good reactions. I usually wrap a childs arm in a handkercheif since, though the impact is sleight, I'm always worried about hurting a kid.

rate all the effects you do from1 to 10 with 10 being the WOW!! DO THAT AGAIN! effect. That answers your question. What's a 10 for you may be a 5 for me and my 10 may be your 3. So it depends on you, your character and your character's personality.

It is a cool effect but I agree with Paddy's system. For you the blend of comedy and magic in the vanishing Bandana makes it a 10(thus a good closer) but for me bringing a snot nosed little brat up on stage and threatening to chop his little arm off is a 10. It's all in how you look at the world

It seems that my post was deleted.

Obviously, one of the mods thought that kids and cigarettes don't mix.

Perhaps I have misunderstood Paddy, but he clearly told me that he doesn't have a problem with mixing kids's shows /cigarettes and posting about it here on the forums:

I would like to hear Paddy's opinion on smoking during an effect for a children's program.

Why, he is obviously from another country where the cigarette nuts haven't taken over so it is permissible to use cigarettes in his act. His country knows that kids will not rush out and buy a pack because they see someone else smoke. Don't get me wrong, smoking is STUPID, STUPID, STUPID! But kids are smarter than the anti freedom idiots think.

This leads me to assume that my post was deleted by one of the "cigarette nuts" or the "anti freedom idiots". 8)
