Nope, one could do a nice routine with three minutes. Even use it as a prelude to introduce props for the next effect. If it's a kid's show and party favors are involved that is an excellent effect for bringing the favors out.

Notice that David does it in 1 min 17 seconds so 3 minutes would be fine.

I was going to say that but felt Paddy wanted to share something too.

are you limited to what you can make appear or do you have to make those plastic boxes appear?
(yes, I watched the video and know that you can make silks appear too)

Um it's pretty much limited to the boxes in my experience, someone may correct me here.

Then I am mistaken in my earlier post and am thinking of an effect that allows one to produce anything that will fit through the bag.

Flip has an appearing bottle from an empty paper bag. You could use this principle to make your props appear. And you can continuously show the paper bag empty.

However, you can't "continuously" produce items without some kind of preparation and/or misdirection, unless you don't mind having your jacket bulge to where you look like a marshmellow man.

my dream bag routine is used as sort of a warmup/opener...it's about 3.5 - 4 minutes...
