Hi All

I've been messing around with creating various bubble creations as a lead into the bubble zombie routine.

I am not a smoker and am from Australia so you cant smoke indoors in public places either. I would like to add smoke inside bubbles or in a bubble in a bubble etc etc....

I was wondering whether Alan Rorrison's "Smoke" gimmick would work (I understand it is just vapour and not actual smoke)??

Has anyone tried this?? Any advice would be much appreciated before I make the purchase and find it doesnt work

Thanks

Troy

Just do it with matches.
Light a match and sniff it exactly when it lights up and you'll be able to blow out smoke.
I can make a video tutorial for this if you want

Thanks Daniell
That's brilliant - havent come across that before. Just tried it and works a treat
will have to set up the light match from anywhere so can use one hand to light the match (while the other holds the bubble/s
Thanks again

I didnt sniff as suggested
draw in air with mouth (not inhale) and works great
I wouldnt draw in the smoke from the match once extinguished - that tastes like crap

SMOKE is a safe, tested gimmick.

If you're doing matches, you might as well use something actually designed for smoking....

When you sniff the lighten match you'll get a lot more smoke than when you take it with your mouth.
Also, when you do it with your mouth closed people don't even realize that the smoke came from the match

In Australia you can't smoke anything in public place or inside a public place or 4metres or so from a public entrance etc etc

more smoke, interesting..... will have to try - but to do that wouldn't you have to inhale it?? (I get mild asthma and dont want to screw my lungs up any more :? )
Just tried and can't do it without inhaling into lungs
when I tried it with my mouth it just stayed in my mouth without inhaling

Yeah you'll need to inhale it but I don't think it will affect your asthma if you don't over-do it.
I have asthmatic friends who smoke a pack of cigarettes a day and they're doing alright so far, when you do this match trick you inhale something that is equal to less than one drag from a cigarette, so I don't think it will harm you if you only do every once in a while and not a on daily basis

I think this effect looks really cool. I wish I could use it. But I stop smokeing 6 years ago and I think it might make me want to start back up again.

Noone answered his question though :(

(I have the same idea, but I wanna just blow the bubbles with smoke and use them for productions)

Can you use the Smoke gimmick by Alan Rorrison to blow soap bubbles with smoke in them?

Location: of my spongeballs eludes me.
Without having tried it, I say YES. In fact the bubbles may last longer with the "smoke" from the gimmick as opposed to smoke from a cigarette.

There is of course the option to invest in this:

This would solve all problems and be natural. With Alan Rorrison's "Smoke" you would have to very creative to make it seem natural (if you know what the gimmick is you will understand)
