Hi everyone!

My mates and I have decided to get together twice a week to perform magic to random strangers as a way of developing our personalities and characters as magicians. I noticed that we focused way too much on the handling and sleights that we totally forgot about the most important thing which is showmanship. We've just started so we hope to learn alot from everyone here.

loved the video! Really well put together. Cant wait to see some full performances. Where are you guys based? Was that Rundle Mall in the video?

I disagree with Rev77. This was a series of reaction shots that looked more like you were going for cleavage pics than anything else. A LOOONNNNG 3 minutes. you should have shown more intereaction between magi & audience, mybe an effect being performed. Remember you have the first 10 seconds of a clip to get people interested.

Really? It was quite obvious that this was not a performance video but a trailer of what is to come (that's this generation for ya). I even said that I was looking forward to seeing some full performances. And surely you have to agree that it was very well put together. The editing, lighting, audio, etc was seriously top notch.

Hey there guys wow thanks so much for such a quick response !! Haha darn we didn't mean for the video to have a perverted feel lol ! Or maybe someone has a perverted eye ? just kidding paddy ! For the video we really wanted to capture the joy and happiness that magic can bring. And revalation77 mate we really appreciate your awsome Support. We are still growing as magicians and tonight we're heading out into the mall to really work on our showmanship can't wait to pick at your brains guys ! Ive been reading a fair bit on here and there are some darn good magicians !

Rev, the reason I don't see it as a tariler is the wording of the post
I understand this as to say they were highlighting their showmanship. I didn't see any showmanship in the vid, all I saw were crowd reactions. That is not "showmanship." That is what Blaine and Angel do, they film actors faking a reaction then blend it into the scenes shot in the studio.

Because of that reason I stand by my first impression. Legacy, hope you will learn from what I am saying. We want to see showmanship in your performance, not reactions that can be faked.

Yehs no worries mate thats what we are heading out to do! I can not wait to improve our showmanship and as for the video as I said.. its cinematography, I was merely trying to capture the faces and reactions of my spectators to really show how much joy and happiness magic can bring.. but anyway! thanks anyway Paddy!
