Hey guys,

Obviously if one is a pro magician they are for the most part their own boss, which means no job to have benefits from. Does anyone know of an inexpensive way to have health insurance while being a full time magician and one's own boss? What do you full time pros do for insurance? and does anyone else have a sullution to the insurance issue of not having benefits from a job?

Thanks,

Ari

Hospital/emergency care can actually be covered at no charge through various methods that aren't widely known. Contact me if you are interested in the details.
For general doctor visits it's less expensive to just set some funds aside each month as if you were paying an insurance premium. For instance, if your insurance payment were to be $100/month and you only need to go to the doctor once during the year then the coverage would only be worth it if the bill came to be more than $1200. And then there is the deductible to consider. Rarely does a doctor visit amount to this without it being an emergency or hospital care.

I wish I could help but my dad was in the military so I get free health care. But I do remember hearing about a medical health care plan that was really good for entertainers. I'll see if I can find it and if I do then I'll post it.

In Massachusetts, it's illegal to not have health insurance. You get hit hard with penalties come tax time if you're not covered!

This is Romneycare, huh?

Seems like Romney was all for this sort of thing, until he was against it.

The same government that that supervised the financial markets now wants to supervise the healthcare market?
