It seems like everybody else likes to promote their favorite bands and I'm no exception.

I've been REALLY into The Black Keys lately. I got their newest album "Brothers" yesterday and listened to it 3 times already. They have a really interesting sound too. You might think they are all from the deep deep south and covered in mud but they are 2 completely normal looking dudes making music. It is some really surprising stuff.

Anyone else like them?

I love the Black Keys. Although I find that when I tell people this they always look at me a little weird until I say "Keys". I think they are assuming I'm going to say "eyed peas" instead. Thank god I don't like those people.

Haha that's funny! I agree, but their set on the superbowl was pretty nice (visually, not so much musically).

Flappy2, great suggestions! Personally I'm not a HUGE fan of cage the elephant but their newer single (the name slips my mind) is pretty enjoyable when I hear it. The Racenteurs (god I wrecked that spelling) are much better now than I had thought previously. I never knew steady as she goes was by them so that's pretty cool. I used to like the white stripes a bit but now that they're kaput, you know lol.

With that being said, I completely understand why you might not like them Tiggerm (if that IS your name!). They have a really weird style that I'm sure a lot of people hate. I didn't like them at first when I saw their SNL set but now they're pretty cool.

the same is said about Slipknot, so I completely get it.

Actually, I didn't get into the White Stripes until long after they broke up (pretty recently), so I'm still kind of into them. As for the Raconteurs, they're one of my favorite bands, same with Cage the Elephant.

The Kills are probably the most original sound, though, that I listen to.

I'll definitely have to listen to The Kills! Sound pretty cool. I've heard that Radiohead's new album is taking on somewhat of an electric side that hasn't been heard before so I'll be interested to listen to that as well.

For those who like the Black Keys, any favorites? Albums, songs, etc? It's kind of funny, I know somebody that looks JUST like the drummer (Patrick Carney)
