I'm takin' a shot in the dark here, but: A clown/magician/drunk/baloon artist..."rich" could mean " Magnificent; sumptuous" or "Abounding, especially in natural resources" or "Meaningful and significant" etc. etc.

By definition, the answer could be so many different things.
