Hi guys! I'm 18 and I started in this magic world around 2 months. I bought Card College Vol. I and two decks of cards just to start in this awesome world.

Nowadays, I'd like learn a little bit more than card tricks (I love cards, I hope in a few years I can mastered them :P) and I was checking the site looking for something but I don't know what to buy... I searched for something like Sankey's DVDs like anytime, anywhere.

Normally I do magic for my friends and family but what I want to do is magic in clubs, on the street even in my father's restaurant.

So what do you recommend for me?

Regards

Modern coin magic by J.B. Bobo. Best book on coin magic.

^^^very true. So do want "prop-free" magic. If so you can buy on the spot by Greg Wilson. That will get you going.

I second EZ. Party Animal is really good and sponge balls are great.

I think duds nailed it. Bobo's Mordern Coin Magic is great. I'd also check out 13 Steps to Mentalism to see if that strikes your fancy. I'd also suggest a few gimicks and gaffs. Thinks like Scotch and Soda, perhaps a Hotrod, anything you can easily pick up and add to your routine just to get you going.

On The Spot is my first recomendation for magic with everyday objects.

I would also agree with the Hot Rod even though it is not a "Normal" object. I would add that if you are going to do the Hot Rod that you get a good set. The DVD on Penguin is good but the rods that come with it are very basic and not quite "Standard" size. If you PM me I will let you know where I got my two sets.

Rope is another good option for branching out. The DVD "Fiber Optics" being my DVD of choice.

Lastly you can never go wrong with a good book. Bobo, Card College, Encyclopedia of Rope Magic, even the Magic for Dummies and Idiots Guide to Magic are good.

Any effect can be different. Just change things like handling, patter, and even style and character can make an effect dramatically different in someone elses hands. If you want to "stand out" in the effects you do, work on these points. I'm sure it will make you a "different" magician.
