The title of the effect in PMM would give it away stands out loads.

I think keeping the audience engaged for 30 minutes on one continuous effect may be a little difficult, if you had the effect a recurring theme throughout your show revealing little clues now and then with a big reveal at the end it could work as 30 mins broke up.

Of you could come up with a clever force then you have a routine almost ready to go, Dependant on how bold you are I can point you in the right direction ;)

And didn't mean one continuous 30 minute effect...I meant making each phase a totally separate effect. Ie. Dead Zone Pro is an entire effect that centers around determining what weapon a spectator puts in what pocket and then showing it as a revealation. Each of these could be their own separate effect instead of a single three phase reveal. Think outside the box....less mentalism and more Bizzarist style.

Ahh lovely idea :)

I's not my style of mentalism but sounds like an excellent idea :) .

I have about half a script written for something like this for a Casino-themed party I'm working this summer. I'm planning on doing a card cheating act, then cheating gone awry/murder/dead-man's hand poker deal/prediction effect all in one. This would tie into solving a murder as well, the problem is making it all tie in logically. Will post back if methods or new hooks come to mind.

Ok I'm just digging this topic back up because I've decided to create the effect I envisioned and have it as the climax for a 1 hour show I'm gonna make entitled psychic detective. I'll be digging for inspiration from Sherlock Holms, which also allow me to make a brief tangent onto the subject of Arthur Conan Doyle and his belief in faries, but mainly I want to create effects that simulate deducing massive amounts of information based on very little evidence. Obviously most of this will come from the script I write but if anyone wants to suggest some existing effects for a starting point (7 keys springs to mind for some reason) I'd appreciate the input.

edit
Just remembered Derren did an interesting effect using the odd ball bag and an impression pad to divine a truth teller from several liars and also a thought of name.

Then there's the idea that detectives deal with mysteries.. which brought to the idea of a famous unsolved mystery, so a trick themed around the Jack The Ripper case might be cool (hardly original I know but something along those lines.)
