Hey all,

Just looking to find a fun packet trick to keep in my new wallet all the time. Any suggestions on packet tricks? I have no real preference on the trick other than I can keep it in my wallet.

Always want to know I have a little miracle on me when I am out and about without my normal magicical apparatus :)

Color Monte;

Color Monte can also be done excellently with poker cards;

Funny you recommend that one EZ. I have the cards still but I lost the instructions. I may just buy another set of cards from Penguin and then I will always have the Penguin instructions on the website. Thanks, EZ.

Keep a pack of cards in your pocket. Not only will you have a packet trick anytime, but a whole slew of stuff. It's not that much space to be taken in your pocket. Besides, it's my firm belief that a magician should always carry a deck of cards/coins/notepad have SOMETHING prepared at all times. However, if you really only want a few cards to keep in your wallet, I'd suggest stashing some aces in there. There's tons of effects with them:

Twisting the Aces
Dr Daley's Last Trick (These two alone can blow people's minds)

Just to name a few

I actually did colour monte before my show the other day. Still hits hard for such a simple trick!!

Also, Twizted by eric jones is a fantastic packet trick, Hijacked by sankey is also good.

As far as traditional packet tricks; Color Monte, Royal Scam and Twisted Sisters. If I am going somewhere where I think I might pull out a trick I almost always grab Twisted Sisters or Royal Scam.

Since I know you like Greg Wilson, his In Action DVD's have quite a few. I would recommend Weighted Ace's personally. Also I'll second the recommendation of Hi-Jacked... FANTASTIC trick. I'm also a fan of Twisting the Aces, Color Monte, Three Card Monte, and the Web

Stephen Tucker's effect, Alpha to Omega

John Bannon's, Duplicity (Similar to Twisted Sisters but without gaffed cards)

Paul Hallas' book, Still Small Still Deadly
