It's funny I didn't find anything about it revolutionary. The graphics are great and perhaps the facial rendering of the actual gameplay is a bit beyond what's done before, but other than that I don't find anything particularly revolutionary. But I love the game, the way clues are collected and suspects are interrogated. I can understand the complaint about it not being open enough, but I've never been the biggest fan of the truly open games. I always end up getting bored with it before completing the main missions and never finish.
L.A. Confidential is one of my favorite movies and the similar feel to this game also appeals to me.
