what are your favorites?

I was thinking of doing some card tricks(of course strong ones that end clean) but my local magic dealer told me that card tricks might not hit as hard!

Just wondering what are your favorite filler routines (middle of show)

I already planned to start the show by doing a one coin routine and end with cups and balls.

I suggest sponge balls, since they won't be as vulnerable to wind and inclement weather.

You're kidding right? Not vulnerable to wind? Really???

Your sponge balls don't react to the wind? How'd you pull that off?

I didn't say they wouldn't be affected by wind, I said they wouldn't be AS affected. If a particularly strong gust of wind happens by, you have to chase down, what, one, maybe two spongeballs? If the wind scattered half your deck, it's going to ruin your afternoon.
If you're so concerned about the wind that you won't use spongeballs, perhaps billiards are up your alley. (I recommended sponge balls over them partly for the audience participation, partly for the lack of angle sensitivity.)

Hows about learnin' the ropes?

I build an edge with a one coin routine, do a version of a Dean Dill coin assembly, coins across to a cup, a rope routine and cups and balls. Sometimes I throw in a version of Chicago opener if I think I can build more.

easy fix on the sponge balls...pennies and rubber cement. Cut a hole in the center, insert penny, then rubber cement it shut...they'll hold up forever!

Also, no blowing away in moderate wind, and just as easy to palm multiples...

Well, it's an interesting idea. I'm kinda worried about how that'd turn out, in terms of texture and appearance, but I just happen to have a set to experiment with. (My dog ate one from this set.)
