Anyways back on topic: i'll take that as a compliment actually worked wonders for me.

A second note:
If a girl asks you how you do that, thats called a hoop (for all venusian pickup artists out there, you already should know this so, go ahead and read something else ).

- A hoop is a player trap, where a girl who is interested in a guy tests howmuch of a challange he is, just like her asking you to buy her a drink.

Now 90% of the guys make the mistake of stepping into the hoops, girl loses attention and guy wonders where all his money went.

The two best things to do with a hoop is:
Say no and tease back (in a fun and teasing way, not in a serious angry way)
or:

You *trick*
she: How did you do that?
you: cant tell you
she: Oh come on please, for me *cute face*
you: Tell you what, you buy me lunch tomorrow and i'll show you.

Now you have added value to you, and gave HER a hoop to step in. If she does you know she's into you. If she does not (then either you proposed it wrong, or made it sound like its going to be an expensive lunch). You know she would only learn your trick lose interest and walk away anyways if you did tell her how you did it.

Just a tip for people who keep falling for the girls who ask how they did it:

remember: Not falling into the hoop = interested girl = lots of *fill in yourself*

Your focus is on being a pickup artist with tricks rather than a magician who can be a pickup artist.

NEVER REVEAL YOUR SECRETS!!! Whether it's a quilifier or not, there is hardly ever a time when revealing your secrets is appropriate. You may as well tell your target/audience you're a hack who has fooled them rather than a performer who has entertained them. Plus, even with a promise like that you still fall into her qualifying hoop.

Well obviously you show her during lunch! .

To be honest I'm not all that into the magician's secret things. I'm open about the fact its magic, let yourself be entertained. And 99% of the time I keep my secret. But giving away a trick once in a while cant hurt. I'f taught some friends a trick or two, shown my parents one to...

In the end you should not give it away to a begging audience, as that makes you cheap and far less impressive. But if a chick offers to buy you lunch and is truely into you then give me a good reason not to give one of my tricks away, if done correctly. (If you read the mystery method you'll notice how you can keep adding hoops untill the girl is hopelessly attracted to you).

I'm not talking about giving a trick away to every person walking by, just once in a while cant hurt if done correctly! Just do it for a reason, not because their begging.

Because it spoils the feeling your audience gets of being amazed. Now you appear to them as a meer conjurer of "tricks".

I'm not sure Mystery is giving away his secrets to the girls he meets. But if a girl tries to trade a lunch or kiss for a magic secret, aren't you jumping through a hoop? She's gotten you to abandon one of the most fundamental rules of magic for her.

If she sets a hoop show me a trick.
You give her a hoop back: Buy me lunch.

She jumps into your hoop, her ''reward'' for being obedient is learning a trick, but above all time with you. If a girl asks you for a drink, and you buy it for her, you jump into her hoop.

But if she buys you a drink, and you reward that for attention, then she has jumped into your hoop, adding value to you.

Anyways nothing of this diminishes me in the eyes of my audiance, as this will never come to their knowledge.

So then the girl is not a part of the audience? I am done making my point on this. Sometimes you can't lead a horse to water. You can of course do things your own way.

Picking up women isn't hard enough to have to go to a seminar or buy a course on it.

To be honest, you guys take things way to serious. I'm an entertainer, not a secret keeper. I'm just as entertaining if I give a trick away to the right person, at the right time. Most of the time you'll get admired for the technical expertise to!

About being an entertainer, agreed but obviously there is a difference about revealing secrets and teaching an effect.

Too serious? You don't see the hipocracy of impressing someone with something they don't understand and "see as amazing" and tell them the secret and "See it as common trickery". I don't care how impressive your sleight of hand is, once you show how you are nothing more than a fool fit for the circus (But even that is too good, because even circus magicians don't reveal their secrets).

Giving away secrets I think is more an act to show your expertise in a technical method. Not your expertise as a magician (Because part of the skill is convincing laymen what you are doing is beyond question).

Too serious, perhaps you are not serious enough.

I should have added ''the right trick''

I do not give away things like Stigmata, that does tend to f*ck things up. But if I show them how I would trick a casino (one of my routines) I would not mind giving away a step, in fact I sometimes deliberatly show the a ''revealed'' pass, only to use it afterwards without them noticing.

Its all about your entertainment value, 99% of all magic can be found on the interwebz these days. So if they want to find out they will. Better to give them a bite if it adds to my entertainment value.

As I said, I'm an entertainer, not a secretkeeper.
