I'm pretty sure it's THIS October. If you haven't sold all of your possessions yet, better get on it!

If you want to do an act of kindness, that just might push you over the edge and into the special 200 million, you could always send me those Steamboats you snagged a few months back! :wink:

Because Matthew 24:36 totally doesn't say that no one knows when Judgement Day will be, not even Jesus. Let's just skip that line. lol

Nevermind that verse.

And he said to them, “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power.” Mark 9:1

According to this verse, the end should've come by about 70 AD.

Scriptures, in regards to "the kingdom of God" are not referring to "the end" as we can see in Luke 17:20;
Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.

For some knowledge in regards to "the end", Mathew 24 is an excellent read;

No argument here Paddy. No worries.

And yup, EZrhythm is right. The Kingdom of God is present. It arrived the day the Holy Spirit was sent to the earth.

So anyways, I wonder what date this guy is going to pick after nothing happens on the 21st of October.

So when he said in Matthew, "Verily I say to you, there are certain of those standing here who shall not taste of death till they may see the Son of Man coming in his reign." was he saying he would reign in their minds?

When scripture refers to the coming of the Son of Man, it is referring to his literal, physical return. Christ' reference, "...won't taste death..." before his return means that those who believe in him will not taste spiritual death which is the true meaning of death, a total separation from God.

As Christ said to the thief on the cross next to him as they were being crucified/executed;
Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43

In that passage it is obvious that physical death will occur for them but Christ is inspiring when he indicates that their spirits will continue to live.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:22-23

In that passage it clearly states that death occurs because of sin. This means a total separation from God. Then the scripture assures that God provides a gift, an alternative to death which is eternal life. This again is referring to one's spirit which will live on for those who accept the gift. Because in order to have a gift, one must first be offered one and then accept it.
