here:
http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S13408It contains two tricks, Prophecy Voice and Cellular Oracle. I hesitated a bit to review this cause its kinda a underground gem at the moment. I will review each trick separately.
Cellular Oracle Effect: Divine the Past Divine the name of a thought of person recently spoke with by phone and exactly what that person looks like. Then that thought of person is called and a person from your personal phone book is called. Both are asked to name any single digit on a telephone's dial pad. Mysteriously, they both name the exact same digits proving a mysterious connection between strangers.
review: My opinion is that it sound perhaps better than the reality. This uses *cough cough* traditional mentalism methods (without exposing anything). If you've been in magic long enough, its pretty much a modern version of what u think it is. Using some updated ideas out of 13 steps. Requires a friend to be "in on it" for the 2nd part of the trick. Pretty decent, but i dont see myself using it. Also typical with this type of trick, its not sure fire. If u do it right it might be, but i think for most ppl it wont be sure fire.
Prophesy Voice Effect: Predict the Future Play an audio prediction recorded days ahead of time on your cell phone that details events that came to be moments before it's heard. With the Prophesy Voice technique you can predict virtually anything on your cell phone's recorder. Best of all it's Impromptu.
Review: Slightly harder to do with the iphone but that is not enough to stop me from doing this effect. I like this effect a lot. Patrick says this has replaced a swami writer for him. If you have been in magic long enough, you might be familiar with "memo" or "tape recorder" style mental effects. This is (to my knowledge), a completely new approach/method. Its straight forward, nothing complicated. However it does take balls, and will take some "rehearsal" to get it down. U need balls! since its one of those "out in the open" type deals. I see myself using this in the future. Theoretically u can use the idea to predict anything, but it is some work on your end if u want to stray from Patrick's routine. His routine pretty much predicts the Spectator's name and a three digit number they are thinking of (named out loud).
Overall: I dont think either trick would of been worth a single trick dvd. Because i know some ppl will simply chose not to do it, cause it takes balls. The fact there's two tricks here will hopefully have something for everyone. Its a very good price i think.
Its a buy! 8/10 (good value)
