Alchemy by Ben Seidman

Effect: With sleeves pulled back, you vanish a coin right in front of the spectators face with no sneaky looking moves.

Price: $10

Teaching: Ben teaches this trick with detail and the video quality is great (especially for an online download).

Difficulty: This is not for beginners. You need to be comfortable with your ability to judge angles (angles arent terrible in this, but you cannot do it surrounded). The 'move' is very nacky as people say, you really need to get used to it, but I learnt it and in under 2 hours was able to perform it (as seen in the video link below)

Applications: Really good to get someones attention by borrowing their own coin and vanishing it or turning it into another coin. A great use would be to say give me 50 cents and ill show you a magic trick, when they give you the coin, transform it into a deck of cards and do a trick.

Overall Rating: Really good, BUT the move needs alot of practice and it is not recommended for beginners. 4.5/5

Heres a video I made about two hours after learning the effect:

Although the demo for this trick looks great, in my opinion this thing needs to remain a trick to do for the camera.
So much room for error, be it dropping, angles, clean up....
Not for me but looks cool when everything works out.

Too right. I LOVE this trick, its a great sleigh that enables you to learn new things, develop skills etc. BUT I dont think Im gonna have the confidence to perform it in real life, I cant see it happening :(
