I'm thinking about purchasing Liquid Metal. What I want to know is is this impromptu? Can you borrow someone else's fork, do Liquid Metal, and give it back to them?

Yes and no. It is impromptu...well at least it can be--you just can't do one phase. The place the no comes in lies with the fork. There are some forks that are too strong for this to look natural. But as long as the fork is pliable your good to go.
