While on ebay finding some Aladdins (hate they quit making them so I bought 12 which will be my last time I will buy them and will only buy bikes and aristocrats) anyways I stumbled upon this. It is not me nor am I affiliated with it. I just thought that this was ridiculous but anyways thought it made for a great discussion with you guys.

Cool you could always get them and work on your Mercury card folds and torn and restored effects.

Yeah I was thinking of buying them and using them just as junk cards and making gaffs. I just hope no one is crazy enough to buy them.

Perfect deck to learn how to spring the cards!

On a more serious note, this is really cool! If I wasn't a poor college student....er, if i were rich, I would buy them.

I don't think that if I had the money I would even buy them UNLESS I had Copperfield's money and museum then maybe but then I think it's just paper and ink. But it is a cool item.

I totally understand where your coming from--I have always been really into history/ museums/ history of magic...I think it would be cool to own a piece of history like that. Again, that's only if i was really rich...but it is really cool IMHO.

Woah Woah Fellas....This is not a deck of cards being sold to a bunch of young kids desperately hoping to increase their "coolness" factor by owning a "Rare" deck of cards that was printed two years ago. This truly is a rare deck of cards produced over 100 years ago. This is meant for serious collectors, not magic boy wannabees. When White Centurions, a deck made in what? 2008-2009? are going for $150 bucks. That is worthy of a bit of ridicule. That is a deck that currently has an over inflated value. There is quite a big difference between decks that have been "Hyped" into a high price, versus decks that are truly valued in the antique collectible market.

Now I wouldn't drop that kind of money on a deck, even one that is 100 years old, but serious antique collectors do and they are the market that sets the price of that deck. There is a single Steamboat 999 card that is on display in the Titanic Museum that would probably fetch a few thousand dollars if it went up for auction.

And I thought my deck that I got 31 years ago when I was a kid was old. Still in great shape also, along with my "The Amateur Magician's Handbook" and other books. Some antique collectors would pay this price, but I wouldn't. I have enough cards as it is, let alone a set that I could not or should not touch. To me they are just overpriced cards.

For Torn and Restored, BAYBEES!

Actually it's cool how the pips are incorporated in to the pictures.
