I'm looking for a great practical fish bowl production. I've always wanted Rich Marotta's Fish Bowl Production but darn...can't find it anywhere! Are there any other goods one worth buying?

The term "practical fish bowl production" is a bit difficult to comprehend. Rich Marotta's production is not very practical in general, and especially not for anything other than a stage show.

Every version of the effect will have its own specific drawbacks. Furthermore, the fish bowl production is not as popular as it once was, so you may have some difficulty finding any other marketed methods. In light of this fact, you are probably better off designing your own method that suits your needs.

What exactly are your ideal criteria for this fish bowl production?

Whatever, parties, get-togethers. Or just something fun to entertain myself with.

Diamond Jim Tyler has a small version of this effect called "Little Fishy". I was able to see that some other online stores still have it in stock...so you may want to check that out. Also, you might want to look for the Aldini Bowl Production...it's more for stage and would suit your purposes.

You could do bowl-a-rama with a fish bowl instead.

He does not teach the effect on the DVD.

It is on the market again, it doesn't look like penguin carries it but other online retailers do.

While it's technically a fish production, not a fishbowl production, you should take a look at David Copperfield's "Tides." I'd place his showmanship in this effect up against any fishbowl production. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-b1CW59zb1g

To be honest (and I may get some criticism for this), I feel like Andrew Mayne's Freefall with a fishbowl would be just as powerful to a layperson as any of the others. I do Freefall in all of my stage shows and I always get an incredible reaction.
