Yes, I realize you got it from Murphy's. I wrote them too.

It's especially bad because a variety of marked decks put a similar style of numbers or whatever in similar spots. Which exposes A TON of marked decks currently on the market.

Thanks for spreading the word even more. I highly doubt casual spectators are on Penguin looking at marked deck pictures. They have their own problems to worry about. This is just a case of magician's over-paranoia. Sure they should not have the exact method shown but magicians are the only ones looking for that.

But if a layman was really determined to find out how marked decks work they could anyway, or just buy them and see how they are marked. The key is performing it well enough that they don't suspect a marked deck, and even if they do you should be able to switch it out easily. I agree that they probably should not be showing the exact method but I am also not frightened about it.

As a magician it was that photo that convinced me to buy that deck. Most marked decks you don't know if they are crap until you already spent the money. So personally I was glad that photo showed me what I was getting.

Right on, Sirbrad and Thank You, Akira! Because you brought this to attention I learned of this item. Because the marking is revealed and I like it, I will be purchasing this deck.

There are so many reveals on youtube, that are easier to find, that I would not think this is too bad. Actually I like to know what I am buying and really like the picture.

I could see "exposure marketing" as becoming more popular among magic product dealers as they see it as an opportunity to increase sales and to stay competitive. Of course this will be limited to certain products or special arrangements with customers such as memberships or other "qualifying" characteristics.
