Hey all, it has been a while!
I have been using a plastic appearing cane for years now. Recently, an old family friend sent me some of his magic in the mail and there so happened to be a metal appearing cane in there. I can't tell if the cane is broken, or if it has a slightly different gimmick that I can't seem to figure out. Any thoughts?

Are you sure its an appearing cane? Not just a metal cane or a metal dancing cane?

I've never heard of a different gimmick.

Is it in the "loaded" position? or is it in the cane position.
Its possible you need to just twist it counter clockwise a bit and push hard. (maybe its stiff a bit)

if he mailed it to you, it makes me think its in the "loaded" position.

is it possible you have a vanishing cane?

Right after I posted that i realized it was a vanishing cane. I had never used one before, and frankly forgot they existed. but once I realized it was more or less gimmicked in the opposite way, i decided that had to be it. Thanks!

Lol. Do you have an end cap with it? That'll hold it in the extended position
