I haven't posted here in a WHILE! I've had a similar problem myself though so this was a refreshing question to see

I used to think Magic was lame for a majority of this year. I realized how un-true that was when I got a girlfriend though (wait, a magician got a GIRLFRIEND? [GIRL{FRIEND}]) Yup! Not only does she love the magic, but she showed me how much I loved the magic myself.
I've had tons of times in my life when I got super passionate about it and that slowly faded away. Ever since I've had someone to perform for consistently and will always watch the newest routine I'm working on, I've gotten A) much more comfortable/less nervous and B) MUCH BETTER. Before, I would get really really nervous and never wanted to put myself under that, so I made magic something I only practice for myself. Loads of people love magic and I realize that now.
She got my a show at the pre-school she works at, and now that I have an audience that wants me, I'm excited to know I'll be performing again. Previously I haven't been very active with it, which is a total waste of talent. Now, however, I'm looking back at all the great routines I have and picking out a KILLER show which is really refreshing. I think what makes it so motivating is that these are all things I'll be performing and won't collect dust.
I saw a comment about working on presentation and I totally agree. My interest started to peak up to more than what it was when I did just that, and found my character (casual magician). All of that helped me tons and I'm so glad I did.
Get back into it!
