Hey there everyone!

I just had a quick question about something. David Regal gave my product Mute (from Trcky) got a good review in this months issue of Genii magazine. Now here is my question: I assume I'm allowed to quote him in the article for promotional purposes, but am I allowed to post that review in full online? I've had a lot of friends ask about it and if I put it on my website or Facebook, could I face legal issues because it's copyrighted material (even if it's about my trick?)

Thanks in advance.

Sorry to admit this but do NOT listen to anybody here. Talk to a qualified attorney in the field of entertainment law and copywrite law. Nobody else knows what the heck thay are talking about.

Yeah. The reason I ask is because someone else might have already talked to an attorney about this. I'll probably end up emailing David Regal about it.

I have had experience with using quotes and your best bet is to talk to an attorney as Paddy said. Another solid idea is to ask the person if you can use their review on a public venue. Another idea is to get that approval in writing.

I would think that Richard Kaufman (Genii Editor) would also have a say (maybe the ultimate say) in the matter. He's easy enough to get a hold of. You can find his contact info at the Genii forum.

Popchris, you may also want to ask about copyright laws.

Paddy is clearly correct; nobody here knows anything about the subject on which he or she is speaking.

Well, I don't know about copyright laws but I do know that if you ask the publisher, you can sometimes get permission to use the full review. Quoting is totally fine. You won't get in trouble for that.
