Hey Guys. Been a while since I've posted anything here, but I'm back for a little bit.

I've put together a bill routine that uses a borrowed bill and the Kazlowski Bill Switch (or any other TT switch). The issue I've been having when practicing this switch is that a borrowed bill is not pre-folded and therefore doesn't fold into 1/8 very easily or smoothly; especially if it's a crisp bill. Seeing as this switch is predicated a lot on keeping the folds going at a steady beat, folding smoothly is a major factor. How do you deal with this issue?

Fold it and crease it. Unfold it and show it one more time "No, nothing happened yet... now watch!" and continue with a nicely creased borrowed bill.

Great idea Dave. Only issue us that the first phase of my routine is doing the switch for the same denomination bill. I can't see myself pulling the same gag twice...

As cliche as it sounds, practice, practice, and then... practice. You'll eventually get a feel for how to curve the bill as you're folding it. I've been using the standard TT method for a looong time. I never have to worry about prefolding. It will come in time.

Would a Shuttle Pass work better than a TT?

Nope. I need the borrowed bill in a TT.

As far as getting the bill to crease efficiently, and this will sound ridiculous, but practice origami. I did it for a long time and now I can fold a bill cleanly and evenly without missing a beat. As Justin said below, it really is just doing it over and over again.
