I was thinking about purchasing the inviso torch to do a quick "flash of fire" production (read people melting the gimmick because they held the mechanism down too long so for me it should be ok since I'm using it for a quick flash of fire routine) then showing my hands empty (except for the item produced). I've read a few bad reviews, but the majority of the reviews were good! My question is (for those of you who have one) is it better than using flash paper since you don't have to constantly refill it? Do any of you use the inviso torch for a production/vanish routine?

I dont own it but I too have heard some bad things about it. The striker is plastic and apparently doesn't last too long. I'd stick to flash paper if I were you. The flaring of the paper is more impressive than mini flamethrower in my opinion. Its also reliable and fairly inexpensive.

Thanks alot for your advice! It is intimidating to make a huge flame for 1-2 seconds and then end clean using the inviso torch. I did hear that the inviso torch melts only if held too long or if the fuel is low the distance between the rubber tubing and flame is decreased; thus melting the tubing/striker. I'm still thinking lol. Hmm... Flash paper would add a quick spark to my production routines, but how would I end clean? I did look at the finger flasher (flint flasher) but i have no idea how to ditch it in a strolling/walk around type of environment. I assume I just reach for my pocket to do the ditch afterwards? Or what product would you recommend for ending clean?

You could use the finger flasher by attaching a pull to it. Do the flash, produce the deck and release the flasher to end clean.
