Hey guys,

I'm doing a show in my school. I was thinking of opening with Calen Morelli's Dresscode, walk on stage with another school's shirt, then change into my own school's shirt. Then I'm torn on what to do for a middle act. I was thinking the life saver and thread that Dan Sperry did on AMGT. For the final trick, I was thinking Redonkolous.

Any thoughts?

Redonkulous is a powerful effect when it works. I used it for my church's Stone Soup night and made the mistake of calling somebody up on stage who couldn't see very well, and she wrote down the wrong word, next to the one I was pointing to.

I picked her on purpose, because I thought she'd have less chance of seeing the method by which the word appeared on the paper. (My family caught on to this method right away when I test-drove it on them.)

When you have the first person choose a word during pre-show, you might want to suggest that they choose a word from a headline or subhead, so it's easier to see. (The audience will still assume that they had totally free choice.)

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

I would recommend Blank Knight. It would be a great opener or even closer. http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S14928

You've made me want to get Blank Knight! I might even open with that! I will definitely end with redonkolous though! Thanks guys!

I don't know your situation and how large and far away the audience will be, but the lifesaver trick may not work too well if done too far away. Of course, it would work, but it wouldn't get the same reaction (not as gross of a reaction, if that's what you're looking for). It worked well for Dan Sperry, because, even though he was on stage, he was doing it for an up close camera.
Just be careful.

That is a good point, but I'm just performing in my school, the furthest someone will be is going to be like 30 maybe 40 feet.

What are your guys' thoughts on window by David Stone?
