Check out "Chop" by Craig Petty http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/2493

It's a good routine that makes the traditional chop cup routine more "organic" by using a paper cup, signed dollar bill, Sharpie marker, and lemon. It's a traditional chop cup routine, except that the signed bill ends up inside of the lemon at the end. Penguin is out right now, but the trick shows up regularly on a well-known auction site, which I believe in accordance with Penguin Board rules we are not supposed to name. (I checked, and there is one currently listed now.)

I don't have "Chop" myself but I did read a lot about it and there were so many great reviews, I definitely think its a good option and I'm probably going to pick it up myself soon.

There is also the "World's Greatest Magic" DVD on the Chop Cup teaching routines by many different magicians, I think that is a good place for instructions and different performance ideas. Its only $15 too.

Chop by Craig Petty is excellent but it doesn't involve utilizing your chop cup and in fact comes with it's own gimmicks. With that in mind I recommend the chop cup routines video as Vikram has posted by, World's Greatest Magic.

I truly recommend researching (as I did) great magicians on this topic, like Don Alan, who made the chop cup a trademark of his career. Look for his DVDs, most of them presents his superb Chop Cup Routine...

Do what I did, don't go by other people's routines. Play around with it and see what you come up with and build your own routine. Think about other areas of magic like coin magic and the different way you can vanish the ball using coin methods ect.

I've built two routines for it, one for stand up one for table magic.

I believe the chop cup is one of the best props to get your creativity flowing.

I know the basic chop cup routine and people love it! I have instructions, but I have no way of getting them to you. I have the instructions that came with the chop cup, and I have a small pamplet with additional routines. I could email you a .pdf of the instructions if you send me an email.

Ron Bauer's write up of Don Alan's routine is the absolute best on the market today.
