Can someone shoot me a link to a Devils Hank that is thick enough to use for the Vanishing Bandana routine? My one that came with my VB set is disgusting and dirty from all the broken bananas that have been in it. I know I can wash it but I want two. Thanks! When I say "thick" I meson so the banana in there isn't too obvious (you guys know what I mean).

-Ari :)

Ari,

If you know someone who can sew you can pick the material you want and make a replacement. That is what I did after having the same problem.

Ari, go here: http://www.hughesmagic.com/catalog/misc/props.html Scroll down the page to Banana Bandana. Richard makes quality stuff. You can call him and talk to him if you have any questions.

On items like this I tend to make my own. I didn't like the one that came with my VB so I made one more like my original devils handkerchief ( don't remember where I got it)

My handkerchief and egg bag are exactly what I want because I made my own.

twist592, $45.00 is more than reasonable. Especially when you consider these are of a much higher quality than the massed produced garbage that comes from companies that hired out their work to be done in countries that have little to no quality control on their exports. Plus the fact that Mr. Hughes is a highly skilled manufacturer whose products are bought and used by professional magicians around the world for decades!

Don't misunderstand me. I am not saying that $45 is too much or questioning the quality. I simply meant that I make really nice ones and should investigate the market for myself.

So if it can be washed, why not just wash it....?

Piece of advice I got: put a plastic sandwich bag inside the hank. That way the hank stays clean.

That is what I do. I made my new bag with a pouch big enough for a quart size zip-lock. I use double sided tape on the opening of the bag to keep it in place.
