The mentalist has three people come on stage and they draw anything they want and he can tell in detail what they drew. he also was blindfolded and on top of that he used duck tape. Im sure that this wasnt a psychological force that is in banachecks books either.

Well, if the field was wide open and I could choose any method I liked, I'd have the receiving end of a transmitter concealed inside the blindfold, clandestinely fed into my ear. On the other end would be an off-stage assistant with a spotter's scope feeding me the information.

You know, the above mey sound cutting edge, but it's dated.

Imagine what could be accomplished with pair of Google-glasses secretly built into the cloth blindfold? It gives the term 'remote viewing' a whole new meaning...

Off the top of my head I can't think of anything specific (although mentalism isn't my forte), but I think there are a few ways to do this mentioned in Corinda's 13 Steps to Mentalism.

You're absolutely right salmon... I've been in magic for almost fifty years and bought thousands of tricks (4500 books alone). Everytime I buy a new mentalism effect I find that it's based on something in Corrinda or Annemann. Occasionally it will be made out of a different material, but the basic effect and method are in one of those two books.

You could stretch it a bit and include the TA Waters book, Mind, Myth & Magic and maybe the two George Anderson books; It Must be Mindreading & You, Too, Can Read Minds. And of course Theatre of the Mind by Barrie Richardson and Gems of Mental Magic (it's got the Copperfield grafitti wall trick, or the original effect he took it from anyway). Always go with books, it's the biggest bang for the buck.

Learn the basic principles of mentalism; One Ahead Principle, Nail Writer, Impression Board, etc. and you're knowledge base is set. Now all you need is a healthy dose of creativity and create your own effects.

If you are referring to the routine that Eric Dittelman performed on America's Got Talent, you will find all of the information you need in 13 Steps to Mentalism, as the other posters have suggested.
That book will give you all the information you'll ever need to put on a mentalism show, if that is your aim. If not, it will provide you with constant inspiration. I recommend it most highly. Even if the methods aren't exactly those that are performed currently, they are the foundation for the newer methods. A great deal of Derren Brown's live show involves mutated forms of methods found in this very book.
