I don't have Tool but I know the secret behind it and it's not for me. If you don't have a TT, I would recommend that. Thousands of cool things you can do with that some of the best reactions.

I made the mistake of listening to those two guys on Wizard Product Review and bought a bunch of stuff they gave 90% and over to. With the exception of TKO 2.0 almost all of it was absolute garbage. The trick you're talking about happens to be one that I got rid of on e-bay less than a day after it came in the mail. Hint...hint...hint...chrome plated crap!

Look at how many magic books you could buy with all those $35 DVDs you have wasted your money on. I have almost 4000 magic books, I can't think of any bad ones.

Almi3- This is a TT....http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/116 I have made a reputation with a TT in my area and I highly recommend it! There are many different kinds but I like that one the best. These videos will make you a TT pro.....http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/912.

It sounds like you are a relative beginner. There are a number of good utility card decks that allow you to do multiple effects, (although I wouldn't use any of these for more than one effect per show.) My favorite is the stripper deck.

Dollerbillied is right on the money, those Darwin dvds on the TT are really good. Darwin is the King of the TT. Patrick Page has a $12 dvd from L&L that's really good too. There's so much TT magic in the literature I wouldn't know where to begin.

Darwin's best trick is getting the audience loaded before he starts performing. That's why the magic bartender always makes sure everyone has a drink before he starts doing any magic. Just as they begin to catch that initial buzz is when the biggest tips come in.

I think the TT is overlooked, or undervalued, by many magicians. You can get some great reactions and do so much with them. I wanted the Darwin DVDs but could not justify $59 for TT videos. But they were on the Penguin 5 for $99 and I jumped at them. They are amazing. I couldn't imagine 3 DVDs on the TT but Darwin can do it - and do it well!

I have Tool and it is a great utility device. The DVD supplies tons of ideas and if you are creative you'll probably find your own uses for the gimmick. It comes with 2 gimmicks so you can use one for practice and one for performance.

You probably won't use it for several tricks in front of the same audience. I use it for a color changing deck effect when the cards are first pulled out of the box.
