Im looking for a stage magic book that has low cost on props. I am a magician that likes to do serious magic but have fun with the audience at the same time. For example Ill do a card to lemon and when they are looking for their card I say this could take all night and i go for a drink of water then cut open the lemon to put in my water than there is a card there thats theirs.

From what I hear The Conjurers Anthology is a great reference. It will be my next purchase I think.

Jay Sankey's new books have a nice selection of things that work on stage as well, Nailed, Airtight and Directors cut come to mind.

I might check out Rune Klan if I were you as well :)

If you can find a copy of DARWIN'S INEXPENSIVE ILLUSIONS by Gary Darwin, snatch it up. I've got all the Paul Osborne illusion books, and they are fantastic, but the above book is still my favorite. It uses only two illusion principles to create dozens of very cool but very inexpensive illusions. This book will really get you excited about creating these illusions from scratch. Watch e-Bay, the original retail price was around $35, you should be able to get a copy for less than that.

Andrew Mayne's stage books are ABSOLUTELY fantastic. I really, really like Lightstorm, among everything else.
