How many of you guys own an Airsoft gun?

I'm thinking about upgrading from a heavy weight spring, to a gas pistol.

have you guys had good luck with gas (either green gas, or CO2)?

let me know you're thoughts on this...

Sure, I'll bite, what is it? I'm guessing a pellet gun? For target practice or can it be used for hunting? What's the advantage of upgrading ... a longer range / better accuracy?

Airsoft guns are intended for target practicing indoors or outside. Ammunition consists of little plastic beads (BB's). They come in replica forms of actual guns (revolvers, semi-autos, machine guns, etc). They are so realistic, in fact, that many tactical services and police forces use them as training weapons. They do no damage, as far as breaking the skin. However, as with all fire arms, toys or not, they can cause sever damage if you do not exercise caution.

The spring type (like I have) uses not outside propellants to shoot the plastic BB.

The type I am interested in uses a propellant called "green gas." It causes the gun to have blow back (the slide on top of the gun moves back and forth on its own).

Does that clarify things Balducci?

incorrect.

in movies they use real guns.... load them with blanks... airsoft guns do not eject shells, and i am pretty sure that doing ejecting cartreges in CG would be a pain in the rear.
