there is a post under pinching on the first page towards the top on how to take care of that it is from a guy who has been stealing watches for years. and it involves a kind of bogus trick but it is a good method

I've gotten caught befor for different reasons. I started getting reluctant to keep trying. Scott Hitchcock a very awsome magician and pickpocket told me that if i get caught to use this out: " can you blame me its a nice watch" or " sorry old habbits die hard" when i did get caught i felt chokep up and didnt know what to say. these lines really helped.

IVAN

If you say you have never gotten caught then you either haven't stolen many watches or you're lying through your teeth...EVERYONE gets caught sooner or later. Accepting that fact will allow you to be calmer when stealing a watch as you can tell yourself, if I get caught it's not that big of a deal....everyone eventually does. That includes Chappy Brazil, Gregory Wilson, Apollo Robins, James Coats....EVERYONE! Just cover it with a line like, "I have to make a living somehow..." and move on and see if you can get it again later. For a great read on the subject, try to find a manuscript entitled "The Art of Stealing Watches," which has a number of professional routines that involve a watch steal and tons of lines to reveal a watch.

I was doing what Blaine did when he pretended to screw up a card trick.
My mistake was that when The watch was already loose, I kept shaking her arms and then the the watch whipped her arm and she felt it. I was disappointed cause I was SO CLOSE. Anyways, for a while I put on a watch around a rolled up towel and practiced. Once you've got it, you can get huge reactions, especially if your spectator was with a big group of friends.

Of course every one gets cought, but when you do, make sure you have a really good reason before they take out their phone to call the cops. lol. You can allways say somthing like " sorry, i just never saw a Rollex before :D mind if i touch again?! :) or just tell them your a magician and you screwed up. If nothing works, run like edited  lol..
