I also saw the video on Eclipse, "thought through the possibilities" (as we all do), and, believeing in the uniqueness of the effect, laid down my money.

I've had the effect for two days now. Do I see the potential, but is it overpriced? The answer to both questions in one word, "yes". The technique is easy enough to understand, but, at least at first, difficult to execute, resulting in possibly selecting the wrong card. (you could ask for a second chance with a different card selection, but "failures" are always tough to gloss over)

As far as cost: all of us have purchased effects for which we've paid dearly for the secret as opposed to equipment or materials. Eclipse is an example of getting equipment and a gimmick, the worth of both falling far short of the price. Also, being able to use "a borrowed deck" is misleading as it's not as improptu as implied. And being "immediately repeatable" is NOT a feature you'll feel comfortable with, especailly in the first few performances.

Yes, it has potential, but practice is one key, the other is forgetting what you paid as you eventually dazzle your audience.
