Just say "good for you, now go home and practice as I get on with my show." Or say "yes, what you saw there was a shuffle, a comon way of mixing cards, can you shuffle?" *hand them the deck to shuffle* then start over. Dont just try to find ways of getting out of this position but try to avoide it by practicing untill you got it down perfict.

If someone "saw that" then you need to practice some more until they don't see that. If people are catching moves then you obviously haven't practiced enough. Now if it's just to heckle you and they have indeed not seen anything then follow someone else's advice... I dunno.

Magician : Yeah? You saw that? You could see that, but you cant see the huge stain on your back.

If someone says out load 'I saw that!', I normally go for a sarcastic approach, somthing like
"Did you! O my gosh, let me introduce you to the brightest audience member here today."

when someone says that they saw that i hand them the deck of cards and say "you do it then and if you can do it as well as i can i will give you the deck of cards" they wil try and if they succeed then i guess your screwed and you have to buy a new deck of bikes, but if not they will always be embaressed and either leave or try to fight back.

another thing i like to do is just be nice and teach them a trick and say "go home and practice that and when you think you have it mastered then come back and show me"

Them: I SAW IT I SAW IT!

Me: THE PLAINE, THE PLAINE!

Them: What?

Me: I am sorry I thought we were immitating the midgit off paradise island.

They should be completly confused and dumfounded so continue with your magic.

That only works when they still have there card obviously. Everyone will then laugh at him he will leave imberrised.

Me: Did you? Now see, this is what magicians call "misdirection." While you're talking to me, im doing a secret move with the cards/coins/whatever that allows me do to the trick. Awwwhhh too bad you missed it. I guess you should keep quiet next time!

I say it with a big smile on my face. Don't say it in a bad tone like you're irritated. The best way of handling with a heckler is to let them know that they don't bother you.

in reality though. if they say i saw that, depending on what the situation is. i might say "shhh, don't tell anybody else!" like a secret.

or i might just ignore them and continue! (i do this a fiar amount!)

Spec: I saw that

Most of these responses are pretty mean and I don't think would ever be used on real spec's unless your in high school.

A decent response (as some stated before) is
Saw what?
No actually that was just a deversion and you missed the real move.

but in seriousness, i'll usually say "well don't tell anybody"

why do i say this, BECAUSE THEY DID NOT SEE IT. they might be saying that just to say it, or they might have think they said it, but if you work your angles well, and are aware of who is where, then it is almost impossible to get caught.

now, their have been a couple times where i get caught (and i mean really caught, like they saw me palm the card) and if that is the case i'll go right into another trick, and will not pay any mind to the trick i messed up) and at the end of the routine, they will totally, i mean TOTALLY forget you messed up.

Have a hard-hitting, rapid-fire sight bit on hand for such moments.

"You saw that? Did you see this?"
