I have been thinking about performing an upside down straight jacket escape. The thing that just occured to me is what type of harness do you use to tie to your legs. I think rope could hurt. If anyone has performed this and has any info or links it would be appreciated.

Thanx,
Nate

I went to a leather works shop. This gentleman works on repairing saddels and such. He made me a strap about 8 inches wide and long enough to go around both ankles at the same time. This strap then has 2 1 inch wide straps with buckles. The leather is about 1/4 inch thick on both the strap and the belts. Also sewn on the inside of the big strap is thick lambs wool. He gave me an extra piece for between my ankles. Sewn into the strap is a big metal loop if you will. This is what the crane hooks through. So I put the extra lambs wool between my ankles for padding, the big strap is then wraped around both my ankles and fastened tight with the 2 belts sewn into it. Then the crane hook is hooked through the loop on the strap and I am then hoisted upside down. The is very strong and I feel completely safe. If you would like to see a picture, let me know.
