I wanna start escapology. where shouls i start?I literally don' tknow a thing about it. I do other kinds of magic but i don't know why i was never interested in escapology, but now i am.

Most magic shops have some booklets or other type of medium for learning escapes. They can be a great source for information. Some even sell escape equipment. Try the internet also.
Something else is to hust start with having someone tie you up. Try different kinds of rope and try being tied to chairs and other things.

Once you get down a rope escape you can make your performances look cooler if you have some selfworking escapes

PS: Only use self working escapes until you learn real escapes. Gimmicked escapes are to build up your confidence.

Cannons Great Escapes has a lot of material on Esapology in their books section. Like BBunnell said, many magic shops should have booklets and what not on the subject. But I do have to agree, the easiest way to start is with some rope. Have your wrists bound in different types of ways and, well, practice getting out. If your clever enough you can tie yourself up. That way you see how certain types of knots work.

Being tied up is essentially having a bunch of loops put around you. Once you practice it isn't that hard at all.

Ropes is a good place to start.

If you want you can get the Dixie Dooley set here at Penguin. But that is about 100$, and as far as I am concerned, is not worth that much. But it does give alot of information about Escapology. If you want to get it you can. But I would suggest starting with ropes.

If you do close up, get yourself some thumb cuffs.

I think you should make your own strait jacket. That's how I really got started, and buy just some basic ropes or chains and start with that.
