when ever i muck up a trick (which isnt that often) i some times swear which is anoying as i dont do it on purpose but most people dont realise which is good!!
The other thing i did was when you make the sponge apear in the sponge ball routen i dropped the sponge so i had to make up some story about how it got on the ground and not in my hand.

To avoid redundancy and a lot of typing, check out my boo-boo in the STAGE forum under the "NE body with a bad stage story????" thread.

I was doing a trick with an arranged deck - the cards I needed were on the bottom. The trick is you give a volunteer the cards and ask them to just follow your instructions - makes it look like the deck is getting mixed up, but by the end, he/she cuts to all 4 aces. Always plays big.

Well, obviuosly, you try to slect someone who is not a "loose cannon." SO, I was performing at the local hospital for a group of patients, and there was a very quiet elderly gentleman sitting in the audience. Perfect, I thought. So I aksed him to volunteer, gave him the cards, and then...he starts doing all sorts of his own shuffles, cascades, one handed cuts, and flourishes, completely destroying the order of the cards I needed.

Turns out he had been a card dealer at the casinos - Las vegas, Reno, Atlantic City, "back in the day". woops
