ok, well, i have IAF, and i was debating whether i should post it here, or in the IAF PO forum... I decided to post it here so i couls get some different ideas...

well, whenever i get done with the trick, there is a whole in the middle of the deck, and i am always asked "So, you ruin a deck of cards every time you perform this trick?"

What do i say??

(sometimes the questions change a little bit, but they are still basically asking about the same thing... (Me ruining the deck))

You could reply with something like, "Yes. Is it worth it?". That way you'll be getting their honest opinion on an effect.

Also if you're busking or working at a restaurant(any place where you're working for tips), it could be an opportunity to mention somehting like, it gets a little costly, but usually people help with the cost.

Say yes. That should be right out in the open because of how powerful this trick will become.

Yes, but I save up all the holes and sell them to a donut factory.

"Hey buddy, five minutes ago you saw me tear a card in four then put it back together again, what makes you think these are ruined?"

(of course this is only likely to convince anyone if you have actually performed Torn and Restored. Otherwise, have a bag of donuts handy ;) )

Well actually no, they're not ruined...I just use them on Sundays now.
Because they're holy. Get it? hole-y...Sundays...get it? :D

Geez I'm sorry, that was terrible, there's no excuse for that.

Yes, I usually say and that's why i get paid the big bucks. In fact, in certain occasions I've given the deck away. I've been through about 5 IAF decks haha. You're welcome Jay!!!

Maybe you'd like to emphasize this in the beginning of the trick so they will feel they are special enough to have the trick done to them. Don't say you will make a hole, but instead say "I don't do this very often, but for you I'll do it."
