I totally depends on teh type of performance you are doing. If it is for a B-Day party, I use Circle-Square and produce a present for the birthday kid. If it is a stage performace, I reward the audience by showing them how to do "the vanishing bandana" :-)

well, i have been having some trouble because I wanted a stage illusion at first so i could end with a huge BANG and make them remember me because I feel the last trick is the most important because they may forget the ones before it if your last trick is that darn good. So I narrowed it down: I dont need a stage illusion, I want a great routine, LOTS OF COMEDY, and something they'll remember. While I dont want to gicve away what i came up with i give you something to think about - dont just fiund something and say its good enoguh - do some research - go to some different sites and get something with loads of laughter....I can tell you right now the kids are going to be dieing with laughter as since i broke my collar bone i have really thought about my show and how the laughter needs to be in it so every trick i have except my first trick which establishes me as a magician is filled with laughter. For example, I do vanishing bandanna which i odnt have yet but ask anyone whp performs it, they love it. I also do a set where i have a large paper bag and i have the birthday child come up and for his/her special day i have brough some fun and interesting things - so they help me pull out everything in the bag - an ocversized comb, scisdsors, toothvrush, band aid, pacifier, diaper, 4 foot penci, rubber chicken and a doughnut - ABSOLUTLY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE BIRTHDAY BUT THATS WHAT MAKES IT HILARIOUS! Before you put a routine together, think about the pchycology behind it, like what makes them laugh because laughter is the key to kids shows - you have laughter and a good personality - your a hit! Have you seen the needle through balloon? Well, I take that needle and have someone shove it through the septum of my nose! Then I have them pull it all the way through pulling the piece of yarn that is threaded on the needle in one side and out the other. Then I remove the needle leaving behind the yarn and then floss my nose. Then I have them pull the yarn completly through onside and out the other. (I give them rubber gloves). My imporomptu routine uses a large paperclip.

They will remember that. 8)
