why are you guys celebrating. I am not a techno fan but he does produce original stuff with good music and excellent walkthrough grab-a-deck style teaching. he easily puts so much effort into his videos. even though we've never seen his face before. also, XB was great

de'vo.....
de'vo is producing de'ring and a few others that will be coming through him and his store only. he is releseing a translated version of some other ring manipulation but it will be like motion and relesed only to his friends and other elite members of his website and community. i think de'ring is a cool idea in that it can be done any were. I don'yt know i fi'll buy it though. De'vo is creative and all but i am not sure how much is original material.

He's not!

BTW, Garrett Thomas Ring Thing is available NOW. Screw devo and his "petite' friends, go striaght to the real work on Rings with the Ring Thing vid, thats probably who devo stole it from in the first place. And I would bet it has better content than dering will have, considering devo is limited as such.

Hardly?

After doing my respective "homework", I lost most of my respect for De'vo. However, you must admit that he is one of the most brilliant minds on the planet. He managed to invent a character and a complete backstory for a relatively unknown concept, and market the idea to thousands of people around the world. He did it so well that he sold tens of thousands of dvds, and now hundreds of people believe in his image more than they believed in Santa Clause as a kid. These people worship him like a god, and would do anything for him. That, my friends, is great marketing.

Or what I'd call a cult.

And, btw, you have to admit that he's a great card manipulator. I hope he writes a book someday.

-From a proud friend of many "kutkiddies" around the world

It isn't exactly a novel approach. He simply borrowed a page from pro wrestling. It's actually not much different from that culture (the pro wrestling culture). You have your marks, those people who actually believe it's all real, and you have your smarts, those fans who understand how things work but enjoy it anyway. It doesn't require much brilliance to borrow a concept that has been successful in other industries.

Well, that's a bit of a stretch even given what you said. But he is ambitious and determined, that's for sure.
