I purchased a half dollar shell so I can learn Sankey's Cartesian Coins. The shell I ordered does not even completely cover the half dollar beneath it.

If I lay a coin on a close-up pad and cover it with the shell, it is clear that something is fishy.

Anyone know what shell I could buy that will alleviate that problem?

Thanks!

Richard

All shells will have the same "problem" you mentioned. However, with some patter and good pacing, the audience will never know it.

Not all. I have heard that Todd Lassen's Shaved and Remilled shell set is the best way to go, and is not noticable at all. However, for Todd's coin work, there is an expensive price to pay.
