well a few years ago i saw a blaine special and i thought it was cool, but not that big of a deal. then i saw more of blaine and i was hooked. i am for the most part a self taught magician, i watch videos of tricks and then create my own way to do the trick, or actually figure out the correct method. I was always into magic from a young age... the fascination with that child magic set never really wore off. But the person who truly inspired me to start performing more advanced ard magic was Darwin Ortiz. Ever since I saw At the Card Table, I've been hooked. As i became more involved, others really had an impact on me as well- Daryl, Ed Marlo, etc.

Kind of hard to say. I used to like watching magic when I was younger. Paul Daniels back in his day but he was hardley an insperation. I fell in with the David Blane crowd for a while and learnt a few (very weak) tricks when he first made it big. I lost interest just because it was so darn hard to find any good material in my part of England without internet access.

There's a guy who performs in a pub where I hang out. He's called magic Andy and does a lot of up close card work. Anyway I ran into him on the bus and we just chatted for a while about magic (how he got started etc) and he just said try searching on the internet. It was so obviouse i'm surprised it never came to me before. So here I am.
