I saw a demonstration (I forget where) for a pen through dollar called "A.E." by Peter Eggink. You're supposed to be able to do it with a borrowed pen. Here's the effect:

You fold the dollar in half and place the pen in the fold. You hold your hand under the bill and, without touching the pen, it slowly melts through the dollar.

It looks great. Almost too great. I'm wondering if any of you have it and could give me a quick review or tell me how it compares to the Stealth Pen, etc.

Thanks.

Yeah, the melt thru effect without touching the pencil/pen looks great.

I just got AE. Haven't done it yet. I wish I could find a demo, since I hear how great this looks. I was sold by the description and reviews. 3 words: [edited]. I'll put up a review as soon is I think I have it down. The pen and bill really are borrowed and returned.

If that was part of the secret, don't do it...read the rules...

As threatened, here's my review of A E : The effect isn't quite "impromptu", as there is a set up and a get-ready, but that being said, once it's "activated", you can be ready at a moment's notice, and repeat the effect many times, without your specs being any the wiser. I can't get a demo video, so I learned AE purely off the well written and illustrated instructions. I practiced in a mirror, probably more than an hour- to check the angles ant get the routine -once I had the mechanics of it down. It truely looks great, almost un-real the way the pencil (or pen) seems to melt thru the bill and onto your hand. I plan to routine the effect with "Just Passin' Thru" because they would work fine together. The focus, I believe, would be totally on the bill as it's handed out, creating a clear opening to switch in the non-gaffed prop from JPT. Please don't get the impression that I think AE is tricky or complicated. It's just something you'll need to set up on your own time, and once it's done,(maybe 5 minutes) your good to go, whenever you're ready, appearing totally impromptu. No one will see it "on you", and you're free to go about your business, without any real constrictions. The angles are about same as Just Passin' Thru. AE offers alot of bang for the buck, and utilises a relatively simple principle, with "space-age" technology. And it's magic with familiar, everyday objects. I would give it an 8-8.5/10.

there is another website out there which appears to have the exclusive US rights to distribute it, will have to think about getting it after seeing the demo.

here is an update to my last post.

I found it on another website, after the first one I found it on said it was the 'Exclusive Distributor' of it. So hopefully it will pop up on Penguin here very soon. Then we can have a PO forum for it.

I have heard several bad reviews and a few good reviews at that "other" site. I really want it to be good, and I think Peter Eggink's stuff is great, but we'll see.

I've just ordered it from a store here in the UK, when it arrives I'll review it. I'm quite excited about this one...
