Sometimes I show tricks to people with a gimmick(ex. Svnegali deck) and then later they will ask for me to do it again except this time with THERE deck. What do I say when they ask? Most of the time I say I don't feel like showing them again, but then they say its because the dack is a TRICK deck. Can someone help??

I stay away from gimmicked decks for that reason, but I’d just do something similar using sleight instead, like ambitious card or something.

You can just smile and say "Let me show you something that's even better." And do a trick with their deck.

Get yourself some videos or books on learning sleights. One very good resource is Royal Road To Card Magic (Book), Richard Kauffmans' "Basic Card Techniques" (Dvd). As for tricks look into getting Michael Ammars Easy To Master Card Miracles Set. You can use any deck and perform great tricks at any time.

Gimmick or not, always learn not to show the same trick twice! DO NOT! Just say: "You should of been paying attention the first time." or something.

Don't say that! Tell them you can do it with their deck, but you have to take it home and cast a spell on it, and let it sit over night under your magic wand (or something silly like that) If they don't believe you, at least you haven't insulted them.

I would do "long distance spinner" and make all their cards fly all over the place. Of course, the last card that goes flying after they yell "stop" would be their card.

then I would tell them that such a trick doesn't work with a gimmicked deck. then just start your next trick while they are picking up their cards

The truth is always easy: "I never show the same trick twice". Remember that rule, and keep repeating it to yourself. Having said that, you might want to learn a simple trick with a regular deck that mimics the Svengali trick. That'll really throw them off.

Ive said this on several threads, it is magic law not to do the same trick to the same audience twice. thats all you have to say. if they say your saying that as an excuse, just simply ignore that. the hecklers fuel is to make you very mad or reveal you. dont give them that fuel and they will burn out. :D
