So what do you think are the top 5 gimmicks that a close up woorker needs, or should not be without

stuff like TT or shells

lets leave the cards out, one cause there are to many difrent kind of gimmicked cards, and two cause there are a million card effects you can do with no gimmicks what so ever.

True. That's the only thing. No debates, the TT is the best.

Hot Rod. Pure and simple. Great effect when presented right.

I also say TT! So simple, yet sooo many possibilities....

I also like scotch and soda/dime and penney.

I use dime and penney personally.....

TT = TT.

If you don't have one, get one!

i thaught people were gona say stuff that has more aplications, not a particular effect, and if i didnt make myself clear i apologise, im not sure of the exact definition of gimmick, i gues i can also say prop or whatever, anythi gthat is not visible or is not as it seems to be, i thaught the winers would be stuff like
TT
shell
IT
flashpaper
or maby raven

Okito Coin Box - you can use it for all kinds of small objects, not just coins.
TT, or dye tube - vanishes, transformations, colour changes, penetrations.
Pull - larger objects, ends cleaner than a TT or dye tube.
ITR - animations and levitations.
Hanks - vanishes, penetrations, knots, misdirection etc.
