A GOOD closeup worker uses sleight of hand more than any gimmick.

I know that a lot of pros use gimmicks and gaffs.
Why limit yourself to only palming etc. when there are so many useful tools available.

I disagree. What makes someone good or not is not the methods but the presentation.

Presentation is very important, i think it should be a mixture of sleight of hand and gimmicks/gaffs.

1.TT
2. ITR
3. Hankerchiefs
4. Flash paper/cord
5. You choose, i can't think of anything else

Yes, I said more than any gimmick, not instead of all gimmicks. I agree that gimmicks can be very helpful. I still use my Scotch and Soda all the time. I guess what I meant was don't end up relying on gimmicks too much.
